The Giving Trees
Six of Rochester’s top Designers are creating a unique Christmas tree to be raffled off to benefit their favorite charities. Come preview the trees and attend the special gathering on December 2nd from 10-9pm, at City Sense.
How to purchase a ticket for your chance to win one of the Giving Trees:
Raffle tickets are $10.00 each and available until Midnight Thursday December 15th. Each tree has a retail value between $450.00 – $950.00.
Scroll down to read the description for each of the Giving Tree designers and their chosen charity. Use the red button to purchase rafflle tickets for that designer’s tree. You may also purchase tickets and preview the trees in person at our City Sense shop, 127 East Avenue in downtown Rochester, NY.
The drawing is at 10:00 am on December 16th. Winner’s trees will be delivered and set up that weekend or at your convenience. You do not need to be present at the drawing to win. We will contact you personally if you are a winner and also announce the winners via our newsletter and on Facebook.
**Each raffle ticket purchased will also give you a chance to win a complimentary design consultation with that designer. The designer with the most raffle tickets sold will be given a special prize to benefit their chosen charity.**
Proceeds are going to the charities listed below.
Meet the Giving Tree Designers
(#1) Shery Merkle of Creative Commercial Designs created a special upside down tree for the Make a Wish Foundation, Western New York. Shery is an expert custom silk tree and floral designer, commercial and residential holiday decorating including Holiday Designer for Oak Hill Country Club with Dani, Charlie, and Alana. Charlie Lytle, local floral designer, over 40 years experience, head designer of Super Bowls XXX and XXXI, vice president of board of Trustees, Rochester Civic Garden Center has created two Giving Trees (#2 and #6).
(#2) Charlie Lytle created one Giving Tree for the Golisano Children’s Hospital in honor of his granddaughter Zoey. Use the button below to purchase raffle tickets for this tree.
(#3) Jason Longo of JDL Design Group, featured on HGTV created a Blue Tree in honor of Jack Heiligman and the charity founded in his memory, JACK Foundation, #blueforjackjames. JDL’s Chelsea Park showhouse is open till December 18th. Use the button below to purchase raffle tickets for this tree.
(#4) Janis Reed of Interior Design Source designed a children’s tree for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Her son Danny has been living in control with Type 1 diabetes for seventeen years and is now a Physician’s Assistant at RGH. Use the button below to purchase raffle tickets for this tree.
(#5) Alana Miller of Kiara Kollections, fourth generation floral designer and instructor at Rochester Civic Garden Center designed a tree for Willow Domestic Violence Center. Use the button below to purchase raffle tickets for this tree.
